Systems Corporation has introduced the Mathias Bäuerle CAS PoD
(Print-on-Demand) computer-controlled folder designed for the short-run
low-cost production needs of the Digital Printer.
60 custom fold jobs can be stored in memory and recalled in
seconds, ideal for fast job changeovers, precise, consistent folding and
minimal waste. Fold-plate
adjustments are made via a central operator control panel where the
operator enters the set-up data, fold-plates then automatically move into
position, reducing set-up times by 50% or more.
At a speed of 30,000 documents per hour, the CAS PoD is designed to run
on-line or off-line with various digital printers, roll unwinds and
cutters. GBR is a subsidiary of Mathias Bäuerle and the
U.S.
distributor of the CAS folders. |
